Two Horse Attractions in Boerne, TX
Spend the day outdoors soaking up some sunlight, and enjoying the beautiful landscape. Trail riding is peaceful and relaxing. It is very popular in Texas, and there are some facilities in the Boerne area that offer trail riding.
In The Irons Equestrian Center
In The Irons Equestrian Center is located right beside the San Antonio Rose Place, which is on Boerne Stage Road. The center offers a 35-stall stable, which is all in one barn. They also have a tack room that is climate-controlled, five different grooming stalls, four wash areas, kitchen and lounge. To practice and improve showing skills, you can check out their two lighted arenas.
The facility is owned and operated by Jill Ammann, who is both a trainer and instructor for the facility. She began her training adventure in 2002, and has built a reputable business. She works with a number of clients that range in age, but specializes in teaching children how to ride. Her students are all skill levels as well, which includes beginners and professionals.
There are a variety of offerings at the facility, which include summer camps, private and semi-private riding lessons, horse boarding, tack store, and many showing event opportunities.
Stricker Trail Riders
Stricker Trail Riders is located 15 minutes Northwest of San Antonio. Group or individual trail rides are offered, and rates begin at $45 each. Trail riding is available Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday for large groups. Contact Stricker Trail Riders to make a reservation and check availability.
Those engaging in a trail ride must be 7 years old, and those between the ages of 7 and 12 must have a parent or guardian with them during the trial ride. Each rider must have their own horse, as double riding is not permitted.
In order to avoid being charged, you must cancel within 2 hours of your scheduled ride time. If you are canceling a group ride, you must give 48 hours notice.
