Things to Do Near the Convention Center
Have you considered a visit to the Convention Center and wanted to know what else is available near it? There are some great things to do near the San Antonio Convention Center including museums, the River Walk and Market Square.
The Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center is a destination in itself hosting events, conventions and the Alamo City Comicon. Some of the best attractions are actually right by the Convention Center. If you want to enjoy the outdoors or see some great cultural centers, here is a look at the fun places to see near the convention center.
Spend Time Outdoors
Check out the beautiful river walk, ranked the #1 River Walk in America by Travel + Leisure. It’s also called the Paseo del Rio and the attraction brings 5 million visitors annually. Enjoy dinner or a great café over there and listen to live music at night. The kids will love the floating river boats and hilarious tours on the water.
The Briscoe Western Art Museum is located in the area and it’s one of the newest museums in town. It’s in a beautiful space with a gorgeous sculpture garden. Learn about history and art like never before.
The 300 year old Alamo can be found in this area too. It’s one of five established in the early 1700s and one of the most cherished in San Antonio. Also check out the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, the Little Church of La Villita, and the Tower of the Americas.
