Development of the neighborhood began in 1982, but none of the homes were built until 1986. Many of the homes are considered to be upscale with some on the higher end of the spectrum. Cal Atlantic Homes, one of the finest homebuilders in Austin, was a part of the development process. At the time, they were known as Ryland and Streetman.
Circle C Ranch includes a mixture of gated mansion homes and smaller, single-story home. Many ranch, craftsman and traditional style homes are found throughout the neighborhood. It's not uncommon to find exteriors made of stucco, limestone or rock giving the neighborhood a very natural feel.
Some of the communities found within the larger neighborhood are gated. In addition, many homes include golf course views or greenbelt access.
The neighborhood of Circle C Ranch is found in a great location south of Downtown Austin. This location offers plenty of things to do with the Circle C Metropolitan Park nearby. This park offers 500 acres of green space with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and The Veloway as a part of it. The park also offer hiking trails, soccer fields, a large playground and the best disc golf course in all of Austin.
